Description

Sublime authentic vintage handbag dating from the 1950s-1960s, made in France. A true piece of timeless elegance, bearing witness to post-war French leather goods craftsmanship. MATERIALS & QUALITY: Exterior: Genuine brown lizard leather (authentic hot stamp inside "Véritable Lézard"). The scales are small, regular, and beautifully preserved. Interior: Fully lined in smooth tan leather (a mark of high quality, far superior to fabric linings). Origin: Stamped "Made in France". Ideal organization: Very clever accordion structure with 2 large side pockets and a secure central pocket for perfect organization of your belongings. An additional interior zipped pocket with its original metal slider. Gold-tone metal top clasp closure, typical of the Mid-Century era. The modern touch: A modern removable gold chain has been added to the original rings. You can thus wear it on the shoulder for everyday use or instantly remove the chain to use it as an ultra-elegant evening clutch. DIMENSIONS: Length: 25 cm Height: 16 cm Bottom depth: 8 cm (great capacity thanks to the gussets) Handle (removable chain): 42 cm (ideal drop for shoulder or short carry) CONDITION: Very good overall vintage condition for an item of nearly 65 years. The lizard skin is healthy, shiny, and has been carefully maintained and nourished with specialized products (Saphir Reptan). The original hardware shows a lovely patina of time. Minor traces inside.
