Description

Materials: Wood Exceptional and rare decorative rectangular solid wood box from the vintage Christian Dior Maison collection (circa 1970 / 1980). • Craftsmanship: Made in Italy, a testament to the couture house's artisanal expertise of the era. • Decoration: The lacquered top lid features a magnificent central panel with gold arabesque-style geometric and floral patterns. It is accented by an elegant black frieze dotted with stylized star or rosette motifs. The sides of the box also feature this superb geometric frieze. • Interior: Brown-stained raw wood with its original brass hinges. • Authenticity: Retains its original white paper label "Christian Dior PARIS" glued to the bottom, as well as the handwritten traceability inscription on the back "Italy 27". • Exact dimensions: Length: 14.5 cm | Width: 10 cm | Height: 5 cm. The item is in good overall vintage condition with an authentic patina, but shows signs of aging consistent with its age: • ⚠️ Closure: As the wood has naturally warped over the years, the lid does not sit completely flush and does not close 100% (slight mechanical gap). • ⚠️ Visual appearance: Small chips and discrete losses of lacquer are visible on the edges and the brown finish (particularly at the back near the hinges). Some normal micro-scratches from use are present on the lacquered areas.
