Authentic collector's silk scarf from the fashion house Pierre Balmain Paris, dating from the 1950s (the golden age of French Haute Couture). • Motifs & Graphics: Very beautiful historical equestrian scene featuring a group of horsemen and their mounts. The design captures the movement of the horses in a fluid and refined artistic style, reminiscent of wash, ink or watercolor techniques. A true work of art in its own right. • Colors: Very elegant monochrome harmony of brown, ochre and sepia on a cream / ivory background, framed by a wide patinated border. • Signature: Original handwritten label "Pierre Balmain PARIS" printed in the lower right corner of the equestrian scene. • Craftsmanship: 100% heavy mulberry silk of very high quality. The edges are hand-rolled. • Dimensions: Vintage square format of approximately 76 x 78 cm. Condition report: Overall, the scarf is in good condition for its great age, the silk has retained its superb fluidity and the intensity of its brown pigments. Note: Presence of a small discreet stain on the light background (see the last zoomed-in photo). The price has been adjusted accordingly. For collectors or enthusiasts of the equestrian theme.
